How it works
- 1
Pick a task
Type what you're working on, or line up a study plan of study and rest blocks.
- 2
Focus until the chime
Work until the timer ends. It keeps time in a background tab, and a mini timer follows you around the site.
- 3
Take the break
Short breaks between sessions and a longer one every four. Your focus minutes add up on My desk.
Questions
What is the Pomodoro technique?
You work in focused blocks (usually 25 minutes) with short breaks in between, and a longer break after four blocks. Short, timed sessions make it easier to start and to keep going.
Can I study with friends?
Yes. Press “Study with friends” to start a live room and send the link. Everyone shares one timer and study plan, and you can see what each person is working on.
Does the timer keep going if I switch tabs?
Yes. It's based on the clock, not on counting seconds, so it stays right in a background tab and shows the time left in the tab title.
Can I change the lengths?
Yes. Open Timer settings to set focus, short break and long break lengths, or build your own study plan.
