Questions

Why does a print window open?

Your browser's own Save as PDF makes the best PDF: text stays sharp and selectable, not a picture of each page.

Will it look the same as in Word?

Very close for most documents. If your computer doesn't have a font the document uses, a similar one is used and lines may wrap a little differently.

Can I convert an old .doc file?

Not directly. Open it in Word or Google Docs and save it as .docx first.

Is my document uploaded?

No. It's opened and laid out in your browser.
