Questions

How do I open iPhone HEIC photos on Windows?

Drop them here and convert to JPG. The photo is decoded in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

My portal says the file is too big. What should I do?

Tick “Keep each file under” and type the limit in KB. The converter lowers the quality first and only makes the picture smaller if it has to.

Will I lose quality?

PNG keeps every pixel. JPG and WEBP at 85% quality look the same to most eyes and are far smaller.

What happens to transparent backgrounds?

PNG and WEBP keep them. JPG can't, so see-through parts are filled with the background colour you pick (white by default).
