Privacy

Short version: your files and data stay in your browser. We don't have accounts, ads or tracking. A few features need to send something to work: live rooms, citation look-ups and the two AI tools. Each is explained below.

What stays on your device

PDF tools, the GPA calculator, flashcards, notes, your timer, your timetable, My desk and everything else you save are kept in your browser's storage on this device. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them.

Live rooms

When you start or join a live room, what's in that room (for example the shared timer, a shared deck or the code) and the name you type are sent to our server so others in the room can see them. Room contents are deleted automatically after a week with nobody in the room. Anyone with a room's link can join it, so only share links with people you trust.

Citation generator

To fill in a reference, the link, DOI or ISBN you enter is used to look up the source's details: links are fetched by our server, DOIs from Crossref, ISBNs from Open Library and YouTube links from YouTube. We don't keep a record of what you look up.

AI tools (Paraphraser, AI flashcard maker)

These two tools need an AI model, so the text you give them is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to be reworded or turned into cards, and the answer comes straight back. We don't store your text. Files you choose in the AI flashcard maker are opened in your browser: only the text taken from them is sent, never the file.

To share the free daily allowance fairly, we count how many times each person uses these tools per day. People are told apart by a scrambled (hashed) version of their IP address, never the address itself, and the counts are deleted after two days.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
